Garden of Peace was born from a heartfelt vision: to provide a serene and dignified resting place for the Christian community in Petaling Jaya. It began when the directors of Garden of Peace recognised the growing need for burial spaces and approached Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ) with a proposal, inspired by consultations with local churches and community organisations. With their strong support and the Town Council’s shared commitment to this meaningful cause, the vision began to take shape.
Importantly, no existing grave sites will be altered. Instead, a shaded area will be introduced, the old cemetery will be beautified, and a dignified niche wall will be constructed to complement the existing space.
Over the next two years, careful planning, collaboration, and unwavering dedication brought this project to life. Guided by deep respect for the cemetery’s history and the memories of those already laid to rest, the founders ensured that every detail was thoughtfully considered.
From site surveys to architectural design, every step was taken with great care to create a lasting sanctuary that blends harmoniously with its surroundings.
This endeavour would not have been possible without the steadfast support of MBPJ, visionary Town Councillors, and YB Lee Chean Chung, Member of Parliament for Petaling Jaya, who has consistently championed the needs of the Christian community.
Today, the Garden of Peace offers approximately 6,000 exclusive niches—affordable, beautifully designed, and carefully managed—to help families honour their loved ones in a setting that reflects peace, respect, and remembrance.
