Restoring Dignity to the Grounds of Our Columbarium
As part of our ongoing efforts to prepare the site for the upcoming columbarium at the Garden of Peace, our team are carrying out a major clean-up of the surrounding cemetery grounds.
Over time, many sections had become overgrown with weeds and vines. Some areas had been used as informal dumping grounds. We knew this needed to change, not only to maintain respect for those already laid to rest, but also to create a calm, welcoming environment for families considering a final resting place for their loved ones.
Our team are clearing overgrowth, removing rubbish, and restoring visibility and access to gravestones that had been hidden under layers of vegetation. We collected and disposed of dozens of bags of organic waste, pruned trees and bushes, and cleared debris from neglected corners of the cemetery.
This is not just about tidying up. It is about restoring dignity and care to a space that holds deep meaning for many.
For those who have already purchased niches in our upcoming columbarium, this work reflects our commitment to maintaining a peaceful, well-kept environment. For those considering it, we hope it offers reassurance that this is a place where respect, cleanliness, and thoughtful upkeep are not an afterthought – they are the standard.
This clean-up is part of a longer-term plan to ensure that Garden of Peace remains true to its name: a quiet, well-maintained place of remembrance.
